Blink and you'll miss it

Alexia Abegg's Honey arrived on Wednesday and has been flying out the door.  In fact some designs sold out in the first 24 hours.  I'm chasing more stock of a couple of the designs, but it will be a couple of months away, so your best bet is to grab some right now.

The group is Alexia's nostalgic take on memories of childhood days spent rifling through her grandma's craft supplies.  Its got nothing at all to do with bees - her grandma used to call her Honey.

Quilt coat anyone?

If you are like me and don't think you could take the scissors to a vintage quilt, then these whole cloth designs are just the thing.  Layer, quilt, sew and you will have a fab new coat.

First up is the Double Wedding Ring design.  Top down they are daisy, blue ribbon and navy and the rings are a largish scale with one full circle measuring 12".  It would be a fabulous backing for a Free-Wheeling Single Girl quilt

Alexia's cute hexi cheater cloth delivers the look we all love without the piecing!  Of course if the temptation to cut into these babies is too much, then they are sized to be used with 1" papers which you can find here.

RSS Summer Sewalong Kit

I couldn't help myself and had to have a play, so I pulled a quilt kit for the upcoming Ruby Star Society Summer Sew-along  in Honey.  Here it is.

This kit contains all of the fabric for the 60" square quilt top plus binding fabric and are $169.

At the time of writing there is only one left.  Click here to make it yours

Honey Coordinates

Five new shades have been added to Alexia's timeless Add It Up basic range.
Top down the shade names are buttercup, dusk, warm red, natural and blue ribbon
add it up basics to coordinate with Honey

Its hard to discern through your screen but the the Natural colourway has black pluses and is already a favourite.  It's definitely worth adding a piece to your low volume stash.

Mini bundles with the five new shades are $33.50.

Warp and Weft wovens

Alexia's has added to her timeless, and popular range of woven stripes and dobby weaves and the new Honey Warp and Weft fabrics have arrived as well.
I've received just a few Honey W&W wovens.  I have yardage of a few of my favourites.  This stuff is an absolute dream to wear as its as soft as butter.  I've also used the thicker chore coat towelling for a quilt backing and the squish factor was off the charts.  You should totally try it out.

If you are after a bit of everything I have managed to scrounge up a few more pre-cuts.  There's just two FQ bundles and 4 layer cakes.

Bundles contain 26 factory cut FQs and are $220.
Layer cakes are $87.00
