The Erda Vale Quilt is a rectangular trip-around-the-world quilt variation and the perfect project for scrap diving.  Using repeated fabric for the centre rounds creates a medallion, or a window-like effect. elevating the design from a simple postage stamp quilt.  It is perfect for fussy-cutting sweet motifs or simply showcasing your most treasured scraps. 

Erda Vale is a beginner-friendly project suitable for makers new to the technique, as well as experienced quilters looking for a relaxing project and an opportunity to use up their scraps.

The pattern provides written instructions and full-colour photographs demonstrating hand-piecing,  and stress-free y-seams. 

Yardage requirements are provided in two widths, giving makers the choice to use 40" wide quilting cotton, or the wider Liberty Tana lawn fabrics as used in the cover quilt

The finished project measures 92 x 108cm / 36 x 46.5 inches

Wendy recommends using patchwork stamps and acid-free ink when making the Erda Vale quilt.
