Costume, originally designed by Liberty in the early 1930s, represents a modern interpretation of Liberty’ s enduring ties to Asian art and design. With their voluminous, unfurling petals, peonies and chrysanthemums stage an amazing spectacle, while simplified outlines and low colour add a sense of refined elegance.
The design is printed on Liberty of London's iconic Tana lawn. Named after Lake Tana in Ethiopia, where the cotton is grown, Tana lawn is loved by makers world-wide for its fine, even weave and thread count of 240. It is soft yet incredibly durable, incredibly cool, and comfortable to wear.
100% cotton Tana lawn, 76GSM, 137cm wide
The fabric is sold in 25cm increments, cut across the width of the fabric, however you may request a fat quarter cut by leaving a comment at the checkout. Wherever possible multiples are supplied as a continuous length.
1 = 25cm (or FQ)
2 = 50cm
3 = 75cm
4 = 1m and so on
